10 Vietnamese companies have been just listed in “Best Under a Billion” (BUB) 2013 launched by Forbes Asia in Singapore.
The list honors 200 high-performing companies with annual revenue between USD5 million and USD1 billion in the Asia-Pacific region. In addition, the honors were based on the following criteria: five-year average return on equity and pretax margin greater than 10%, positive sales and earnings per share growth for both the most recent fiscal one and three-year periods, debt less than 75% of shareholders’ equity a and a trading history of at least on year.
Struggling to regain recent economic-growth rates, Vietnam has 10 names on the list, those are: Binh Dinh Minerals, Dinh Vu Port Investment and Development, Hanoi Education Book Joint Stock Company, National Seed, Ninh Hoa Sugar Joint Stock Company, Pan Pacific, Sea & Air Freight International, Southern Seed, Vegetable Oil Packing and Vietnam Container Shipping.

Vietnam has two more than last year while some countries saw a sharp decrease in number of BUB companies such as India, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippines.
China firms dominate the list with 63 names.
