Van Ninh District People's Committee on August 23 summed up the implementation of the Resolution of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC) 's fourth session on agriculture, farmers and rural areas for the period of 2008 - 2012.
Over 5 years, the living of residents in the district has been improved. Per capita average income has risen to VND14 million from VND10 million in 2008. The rate of poor households has decreased to 7.78% from 10.37%.
The district has invested in nearly VND430 billion in agriculture and rural areas. Agricultural production value has seen an average increase of 4.1% per year.
