Vietnam is the second most attractive destination for investment expansion to American investors among 10 member countries of ASEAN, finds a survey called ASEAN Business Outlook 2014.
Up to 43% of surveyed American businesses said that they have planned to expand businesses in Vietnam.
The survey, carried out from May 10 to June 10, 2013, was participated by leaders of 475 American businesses that are AmCham members in ten countries, including 69 ones operating in Vietnam.

Also according to the survey, 61% of American enterprises in Vietnam said to expand their labor force in year-end months this year and in 2014 as most of them believed that profit will rise in 2013 and rise more in 2014.
Vietnam is appreciated for low cost, safety and political stability by nearly 70% of the surveyed investors, 42% of whom are working in service and 51% are in production, mainly of electronics, pharmacy and medical equipment.
