In many good ways, Khanh Son District has effectively supported the local youth in improving economy.
“During the past time, Khanh Son District Youth Union has focused on practical actions such as introducing lending funds to the youth, opening training courses of planting and breeding technologies and organizing effective business doing models in the district”, Cao Minh Khanh, secretary of the district Youth Union.
In addition, the district Youth Union has coordinated with the local Bank for Social Policies to give 240 youth’s households loans worth VND4 billion to support their production and business. The borrowers as a whole used the fund reasonably to invest in planting coffee, pepper and durians.

Especially, the district Youth Union and Son Lam Commune Youth Union jointly established two groups to support each other, including mutual help group and technical group. Each group has 10 – 15 members who take turns supporting each other in work as well as technique of production and breeding.
Activities of the two groups have made clear effects on supporting the youth in planting and breeding. Cao Van Duong, living in Du Oai Hamlet, Son Lam Commune, said, “We gather into a group to help mutually when in need, mainly in planing coffee trees and others on hills. The mutual help has saved us much.”
“From the mutual help group and the technical group, some new ways as well as models and active young people have been found and encouraged”, said Huynh Mazsam, deputy secretary of Khanh Son District Youth Union.
In the coming time, the district Youth Union will send typical young people to other districts to study good experience and models. Supporting capital for the youth to do business and opening vocational training courses for the youth will be intensified.
