The State Bank of Vietnam issued Document No. 8413/NHNN-TT to forward payment by card via POSs until 2015.

Accordingly, commercial banks will continue developing POS networks in supermarkets, shopping centers, goods and service distributors, restaurants, hotels ... ; gradually installing POSs in hospitals, schools, bus stations, utilities units, petroleum stations, tele-communication units… in order for them to accept their service payments via POSs step by step.
The State Bank also asked POSs not to charge any extra fees for card payment.
