In 2013, Khanh Hoa Province’s authority created good conditions for enterprises, including industrial ones. The enterprises also exerted themselves to cope with the economic downturn. Accordingly, industrial production index of the province in 2013 rose by 4.5% over 2012.
The increase was not high but it proved that industrial enterprises maintained and sought chances for production and development.
The country’s economy in 2014 is forecast to be in more difficulties. Therefore, right from the beginning of the year, enterprises have made plans for their production and business such as building trademarks, raising products’ quality, expanding investment, signing new contracts and launching new products. For instance, Khanh Hoa Salangane Nest Company will launch a kind of tonic wine and expand export in Australia, Korea, Japan, the US and Europe.
Meanwhile, Hyundai VinaShin Shipyard Limited Company (HVS) targets to launch 15 ships (including 11 tankers and 4 cargo ships), earning USD427 million in turnover, a 116% increase over 2013. If fulfilling the target, HVS will contribute much in promoting industrial growth as ship building makes up 26.8% of the whole province’s industrial production value.

To overcome difficulties, enterprises have set up many solutions such as saving, improving quality and effects, enhancing labor safety and upgrading management systems. Specifically, Hyundai VinaShin Shipyard Limited Company targets to launch oil tankers with best quality, basing for diversifying ship building, prepare infrastructures and production management to be able to build up 20 ships a year, and prevent industrial accidents. The textile garment enterprises will focus on upgrade equipment to raise product’s quality, cut cost and keep operation stable. Particularly, Khanh Hoa Salangane Nest Company will raise its quality management system and production business administration system according to international standards for the sustainable development of Khanh Hoa Salangane Nest trademark.
The enterprises’ efforts not only make them stand firm in the market but also create stable jobs for a large number of laborers, contribute the local State budget and the whole development of the province.
