According to the State Bank – Khanh Hoa Branch, the number of customers using card services and opening individual accounts rose sharply in 2013.
Till November, 2013, the whole province had more than 571,200 individual accounts, up 6.43% over the figure at the beginning of the year and 15,660 corporate accounts, up 8.81%.
To encourage card payment, the province has installed 1,469 POS devices at 986 spots.

Banks also have stepped up salary payment via account. Till November, 1,001 out of 1,273 State units paid salary via account for 35,530 employees.
