Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Khanh Hoa Province in February has risen by 0.8% over that in previous month, reported the provincial Statistics Office. The Lunar New Year Festival in the month accounted for the rise of CPI but it was a low increase year-on-year because of the difficult economy and week purchase.
Specifically, food group rose slightly by 0.36% while foodstuff climbed up by 1.94%. Eating and drinking service group soared by 2.32% according to the high input costs during the Lunar New Year Festival. Travel group made a 1.05% increase. Entertainment and tourism group saw a 3.1% rise, mainly in hotel room prices. Other groups had little fluctuation.
In February, gold price went up by 0.65% while USD price dropped slightly by 0.03%.
