According to Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, thanks to the favorable weather, salt yield so far this year has hit 25,892 tons, increasing by 56% year-on-year.
The amount of salt consumed so far this year has been 17,354 tons, 40% up year-on-year.

Khanh Hoa Province now has 973 hectares in area of salt production. Of the sum, 637 hectares is of Khanh Hoa Salt Production Joint Stock Company and Cam Ranh Salt Production Joint Stock Company; 116 hectares is cultivated by three cooperatives, namely Cam Nghia, Ninh Diem and Ninh Thuy; and 220 hectares belongs to salt workers.
