Till March, 2014, 400,000 people have opened accounts at banks. However, there are 5,639 power bill payments through banks, making up only 1.41% the number of account holders. The figures show potentials of power bill payment through banks. According to KHPC’s report, in 2012, 52,245 bills with VND257.1 billion were be paid through banks; in 2013, the figures rose to 67,669 bills and VND331.6 billion.
