Khanh Hoa Province currently has 167 farms raising wild animals. Total number of the wild animals is 25,221, including porcupines, wild boars, snakes, bears, peacocks and so on, according to the provincial Forest Management Department.
The provincial Forest Management Department has inspected some of the farms and found that they ensure hygiene, legal animal origin and safety for raisers and animals. However, some raisers have few knowledge and skill of preventing diseases for wild animals; therefore, the production hasn’t been high.
