Vietnam has exported more than 4.4 million tons in the first eight months of this year, getting USD2.01 billion in turnover.
In August alone, the country has shipped 584,000 tons of rice abroad, earning USD267 million.
The Vietnam Food Association (VFA) has forecast that the country’s rice export is likely to reach 6.3 million tons this year.
