The Deputy Secretary of Party Commiittee and Chairman of People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa Province Nguyen Chien Thang on September 19 hosted a reception for representatives from Britain-based Britmar Group that were in a visit of the province to seek investment opportunity into Van Phong Economic Zone.
At the meeting, Nguyen Chien Thang introduced natural features and advantages of Van Phong Economic Zone to the British visitors. Van Phong Economic Zone, located in Ninh Hoa Town and Van Ninh District, covers an area of 150,000 hectares, including 80,000 hectares in water surface. It’s a complex economic zone with international transit port, refining and petrochemical industry, marine industry associated with deep-water port and so on.

Graham Bell, on behalf of Britmar Group, stated that Van Phong Economic Zone is a big project with excellent planning, and the zone needs invetors of different fields. He also expressed the group’s desire to invest about USD25 billion into Van Phong, for some aspects such as thermo-electric factory, wharf, oil refining factory and tourism.
