Vietnam's fishery export rises by 23.2%

Fishery export value of the country reached USD4.67 billion, increasing by 23.2% year-on-year, according the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).

 

Shrimp has kept the year-on-year growth rate of 52.8%, getting USD2.34 billion, making up approximately 50% of the fishery export turnover.

 

The US still has been the biggest importer of Vietnam’s fishery with USD 1.09 billion in turnover, rising by 32.6% year-on-year, followed by EU, Japan, Korea and some others.
