Many small enterprises in Khanh Hoa invest capital in clean production

To serve consumers’ requirement for food safety and hygiene, many small and medium-sized enterprises in Khanh Hoa Province have improved their production, supplying sanitary food products for the market.

 

For instance, Khanhfood Co., Ltd. in Dien Khanh District, which produced Vietnamese pork rolls in traditional way for many years, has bravely invested nearly VND600 million to a new workshop and machines enabling closed production from input to output. Fresh pork roll product of the company has been verified and certified by the provincial Food Safety – Hygiene. The new technology has a capacity of 10 tons of pork rolls/month, creating jobs for 30 laborers with an average income of VND2.5 – VND3 million/month. “We aim to expand the market to supermarkets in the province as well as neighboring provinces and export our products to Southeast Asian countries”, said Do Quang Dat, director of the company.

Le Thi Duy Can, a vermicelli producer in Phu Loc Vermicelli Village, Dien Khanh District, also shared, “My family, for generations, has done vermicelli production in the old way. But now, many customers have ordered us to produced sanitary products for export. Therefore, we are building a new workshop with modern machines, with the hope that dried vermicelli of Dien Khanh can be qualified for international markets.”

 

Some enterprises producing fried fish in Van Ninh District, such as Hai Xiu and Thuan, also are trying to access new technologies to make clean products. Especially, the enterprise Thuan in Van Thang Commune has been agreed to get a support of nearly VND1 billion from the provincial industry encouragement fund 2015 for a project of applying machines to produce clean fried fish.

 

Many other enterprises in the province also in the process of changing production models for create sanitary products serving consumers.

 

According to Temporary director of the provincial Industry Encouragement and Trade Promotion Center Le Ngoc, the industry encouragement support is very useful for small and medium-sized enterprises. Projects applying scientific advances and innovating machines for cleaner production will be given priority in support. The producers are required to implement rightly according to regulations on food safety and hygiene.
