Vietnam has been the biggest pepper exporter in the world for many years with over 30% of the total yield. In 2014 particularly, Vietnam is estimated to export 150,000 tons of pepper worth more than USD1 billion.
Pepper’s now grown in 28 provinces in the province with over 60,000 hectares, mainly in the Eastern South and the Highlands.
However, the pepper export value of the country is still far lower than that in some countries like India, Indonesia and Brazil.
