According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, forestry production value of the country in recent time has made a rapid growth rate. The growth rate of 2011 was 3.4%; 2012: 4.6%; 2013: 5.9%; and the figure of 2014 may reach 6%.

2014 has been a year seeing the strong development of wood and forest product processing. Up to now, Vietnamese woodworks have been exported to 100 countries and territories.
Forest coverage also has increased to 41% this year.
