Till December 26, 2014, Vietnam exported nearly 6.1 million tons. The figure is expected to hit about 6.5 million for the whole year, lower than the figure of 6.74 million tons in 2013. But, the target of purchasing all rice for farmers has been fulfilled.

Especially, price of rice for export this year is higher than that in 2013. Accordingly, though rice export turnover this year has fallen by about 2.3% in quantity but the value has risen by 2.6% year-on-year, to USD2.8 billion.
