During the past years, emulation movement in creative labor in Khanh Viet Corporation (Khatoco) has developed continuously. A lot of initiatives have been applied to production and trade, partly earning profits for the business.
Visiting Yang Bay Tourist Park, a member of Khatoco, we were led to go around the tourist area by the deputy director Nguyen Phi Truong. Stopping at a suspension bridge named Kơnia, he told us the story about the bridge. Since the hot spring of the park opened, the number of visitors using this service has risen sharply. However, to reach the hot spring, tourists have to pass Ho Cho stream difficultly. Vo Khoi Minh, director of the park had an idea to make this suspension bridge with high safety, good appearance and low cost. The initiative has made travel to the hot spring easily, even in the rainy season, raising the park’s turnover sharply.
Also in Yang Bay Tourist Area now, beside bathing in streams or hot spring, tourists can use herbal bath service. This is Nguyen Phi Truong’s initiative. Truong said, “The hot spring has helped to attract more visitors to the park. I thought that a health care here would supply more services for tourists. So, we built up an area for herbal bath.” As a result, the herbal service earns nearly VND300 million each year for the park.
Visitors to Yang Bay Tourist Park are also impressive with fish massage. This is an idea of manager of Yang Bay area Nguyen Ngoc Khue. In addition, many other ideas such as embellishing the park entrance, making chairs from waste pain cans, opening pig-race games, expanding flower hills, etc. have contributed into the attractions of the destination.

Paying a visit to Khatoco Ostrich Breeding Center in Ninh Hoa, we could understand more about features of this kind of birds. According to Ngo Van Tuong, manager of technology, ostriches are very timid. They will scatter in case of noise, which is easy to cause accidents. To reduce such accidents, we have created a system of active sounds with the music of piano and violin. Then, the rate of accidents has decreased deeply.
For years, Khatoco has led emulation movement in creative labor in Khanh Hoa Province. The corporation always encourages laborers to promote creations and applies advances into management as well as production and trade. Accordingly, emulation movement in creative labor has spread over all units of the corporation. In 2014, Initiative Council of the corporation has recognized 48 initiatives and 106 measures to rationalize business with total benefit of VND5 billion.
