Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company now is managing 169 salangane caves in the province. The company has developed new salangane caves and islands in Thanh Hoa and in coastal places from Quang Binh to Con Dao. Accordingly, the output of natural salangane nests from islands has increased year by year. In 2014, the figure was 3,380 kilograms.

The company’s turnover in 2014 hit VND3,903 billion, a 23% rise over 2013, delivering VND382 billion to the State budget.
At present, the whole country has 235 caves on islands. Additionally, 2,614 salangane houses has been built in 36 provinces and cities. As expected, the whole countries will have 10,000 salangane houses.
