At present, it’s easy to find many kinds of regional specialties for Tet at supermarkets. At Maximark, there are numerous ready-made and packaged kinds of foodstuff, like dried litchis, Hai Phong crab rice pancakes, vermicelli, dried bamboo shoots, sour shrimps, etc. Traditional dishes for Tet like pickled scallion heads, vegetable pickled, etc. are also ready-made. Many products are dried, very easy to use on Tet days.

According to the representative of Co.opmart Nha Trang, the supermarket supplies about 15 tons of fruits for Tet, including 5 tons of circle-shaped watermelons. Unique fruits such as watermelons in the shape of gold bullions, square-shaped watermelons, wine-gourd shaped grapefruits costing more than VND1 million will be sold on order. Deputy food manager of Co.opmart Nha Trang Le Thi Thanh Nhan said, “This year, the supermarket has booths for Tet products such as confectionary, jam, flowers, and dried foodstuff.”
At Big C Nha Trang, about 100 kinds of jam and confectionary of pretigious producers like Kinh Do, Trung Nguyen, Pham Nguyen, Vinamit, Hai Ha, etc. are available. Fruits will be increased during the time.
At markets such as Dam, Xom Moi and Binh Tan, sellers have prepared a large amount of goods for Tet. A sell said that foodstuffs like glutinous rice, vermicelli, dried bamboo shoots may be sold at the market price. When Tet comes nearer, prices may go up. Besides, famous regional dishes such as Nam Thu beef pies from Binh Dinh Province, beef pies from Da Nang, Hanoi pork pies, Hue pork hash and so on also can be found at some markets.
