Nha Trang is entering hot season. We’ve gone around some electro-refrigerational stores in the city to study about the situation of this market.
At Nguyen Bang Electronic Store in Quang Trung Street, there are a lot of promotions offered but sales haven’t been good. For example, an air conditioner Mitsubishi fro 1,5HP to 2HP is selling from VND8.8 million to VND13 million (discounting by VND500,000 – VND1 million); air conditioner LG Inverter: VND8.9 million – VND11.9 million. According to Vo Thi Kim Huong, manager of this electronic store, in previous years, peak time of electro-refrigerational product sales was June but sales had increased before that. However, it seems to be unsold up to now. At present, the supply at this electronic store is abundant but on average it sells only 20 – 25 air conditioners each month, dropping by a half than last year. Other products like refrigerators, fans and squeezers also have few customers.
Le Van Electronic Store in Le Thanh Ton Street is also in the same situation. Each month, this store sells only 20 – 30 air conditioners and several dozens of refrigerators. At present, prices of economical air-conditioners have a rise of 5% - 7%. Smaller stores even are suffering fewer buyers.

To stimulate sales, big electronic stores in Nha Trang have launches a lot of offers such as hire purchase, discount, gifts and so on. Particularly, air-conditioners and refrigerators are given extra warrant, repair and maintenance time. Besides, following consumers’ demand for high technological and power-saving products, most stores have space for Inverter air-conditioners.
The weather is forecast to be hotter than previous years, so consumers who have demand for electro-refrigerational products are advised to purchase products from this time to avoid the increase in prices on the peak time.
