Implementing the National Target Program on building new rural areas, from 2011 to 2015, Cam Ranh City has invested more than VND910 billion to improve 6 communes according to standards of new rural areas. Of the total investment, nearly VND508 billion has been poured for infrastructures; and over VND402 billion for agricultural production.

Beside the capital from the State budget, the city also has mobilized more than VND260 for the program.
