According to Cam Lam District People’s Committee, the district has set a target to down the rate of poor households to 2.91%. Measures will be made, including supporting capital by preferential credit programs of the Bank for Social Policies, training vocation associated with creating jobs, carrying out supporting policies on education, health, accommodation, etc.
At present, there are 1,089 poor households in the district, making up 3.91% of the total households. High rate of poor households is seen in communes with large number of ethnic minority people like Son Tan (12%) and Suoi Cat (10.77%).
