May CPI rises by 0.4%

According to Khanh Hoa Provincial Statistics Office, Consumer Price Index (CPI) of the province in May has risen by 0.4% over that in April. The figure in urban areas is 0.41%, and the figure in rural areas is 0.38%.

 

In comparison with last year, the group of housing, electricity, water, fuels and building materials has made the sharpest increase with 2.64%. The rise of VND1,990 per liter of gasoline price has put up CPI of fuels by 2.44%, dining-out services by 0.3%, foodstuffs by 0.15%, etc. The traffic group has gone up by 1.19%; culture, entertainment and tourism: 0.13% up; home appliances: 0.1% up.

 

 

Some groups having no or few rises in CPI are education, post - telecom, medicine - health services, drinks - cigarettes, and garment - headwear – footwear.

 

Particularly, the food group sees a 0.85% fall in CPI.
