Project upgrading Vinh Luong Fishing Port (in Vinh Luong Commune, Nha Trang) has been finished and put into use. The project, invested by a loan of VND27 billion from the World Bank, started construction in August, 2014.
Vinh Luong Fishing Port and Hon Ro Fishing Port are two ports serving off-shore fishing boats. On peak days, up to 70 boats of the Southern Central province came to the ports to sell fish as well as charge fuel and food. After the upgrade, the two ports may raise their capacity twice, help boats to sell seafood more quickly, ensure working conditions for fishermen and food safety, and partly raising fishing result.
