Production value of agriculture, forestry and fishery in Khanh Hoa Province in 2015 is estimated to hit VND9,610 billion, a 2.1% decrease over 2014. The main reason is the fall in yield of food and aquaculture due to the long hot weather.
Fishing yield is estimated to reach about 89,000 tons, rising by 4.3% over 2014 while aquaculture production is VND13,700 tons, a 3.7% drop.
In forestry, the area of grown forests in 2015 is estimated to be 1,130 hectares, a 31.3% rise over 2014, partly raising the province’s forest cover rate to 45%.
