Work on improving power network in Ninh Hoa Township (Khanh Hoa Province) under the Distribution Efficiency Project (DEP) lent by the World Bank and executed by the Central Power Corporation has been finished and brought practical efficiency for many communes in the township.
 
The work aims to supply power for non-power areas, improve downgraded low and medium pressure grids, better grid in Ninh Hoa Town, lessen power loss and raise power supply for socioeconomic development and security in the region. Accordingly, the work is on building and improving low and medium pressure lines and transformer stations in 27 communes and wards of Ninh Hoa Township
1,657 sq.m. has been used and 136,477 sq.m along the lines has been involved. The project comprises three bid packages, distributed in the east, the south and the west of the township. The total investment for the project is more than VND121.4 billion.

Under the project, 139 transformers with total capacity of 13,000kVA and thousands of lines have been improved or built. After one year under execution, the project so far has fulfilled the target of improving grids in 27 communes and wards in Ninh Hoa Township and stably supplying power for about 12,000 households. 
 
In the period of 2016 -2020, the Central Power Corporation will invest 20 works on 110kV lines and transformer stations in Khanh Hoa Province. Beside this, carrying out the New Urban Area Building Program, the corporation is complying with formalities for the project to invest in districts Cam Lam, Khanh Son, Dien Khanh, Khanh Vinh and Van Ninh. The total investment is VND148 billion, with 22.446km of medium pressure lines and 174.927km low pressure lines.
 
The improvement for the grids helps to reduce power loss, raise the quality of power supply and catch up with the local growth rate, confirmed general director of Khanh Hoa Power Joint Stock Company Nguyen Cao Ky.
