In order to bring more goods for the Lunar New Year Festival (Tet) to people in remote areas, many businesses in Khanh Hoa Province has launched mobile sales to those areas with plenty of products at reasonable prices.

 

In mid January, Co.opmart Nha Trang launched two mobile sale times in Khanh Vinh Town (Khanh Vinh District) and Tri Nguyen Island (Nha Trang City), selling a lot of daily consumer products like rice, sugar, cooking oil, confectionery, jam, etc. According to Nguyen Quoc Van, head of Mobile Sales Group of the supermarket, selling prices of these products were enjoying 5% - 10% discount in comparison with retail prices at the supermarket. Total costs of the two times were more than VND500 million. The sales enjoyed large custom. On Tri Nguyen Island, 90% of the goods were sold out, and in Khanh Vinh District, the figure was 40%. A resident on Tri Nguyen Island said, “The supermarket’s mobile sale has a lot of discounted goods and gifts. I have bought full of things for Tet here.”

At the same time, Co.opmart Cam Ranh also launched a mobile sale in Cam Nghia Ward, Cam Ranh. A number of local people came to this booth to buy products.

 

According to the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, 4 organizations and businesses have registered to make mobile sales to remote areas. In the coming time, Co.opmart Cam Ranh will sell goods in Suoi Dau Industrial Zone (Cam Lam District), To Hap Town (Khanh Son District). Khanh Son Service – Commerce Center will launch mobile sales in 3 communes, namely Son Lam, Ba Cum Nam and Son Binh while Khanh Vinh Service – Commerce Center did in 3 communes, namely Khanh Trung, Song Cau and Khanh Phu.

 

Phan Hong, director of Khanh Son Service – Commerce Center, said, “For Tet this year, our center launches mobile sales in more places than last year. We has prepared about 3 tons of goods to sell in far hamlets. They are goods for Tet like rice, sticky rice, sugar seasoning powder, beverage, etc.” Other units also have prepared goods to serve demands of remote areas. Most of the goods are domestic, enjoying price stabilization.

 

Cao Dinh Phan, vice-director of the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, said, “Under the direction of the provincial People’s Committee, the provincial Department of Industry and Trade worked with units and businesses to organize mobile sales to remote areas on the occasion of Tet. The department asked businesses to ensure quality, price and origin of products and localities to propagandize about the activity to local people. The mobile sales have partly stabilized prices and popularized good Vietnamese products to consumers. The goods are plentiful, good quality and reasonable price. As a result, they are expected by people in remote areas.
