Because of the high demand during the lunar new year festival, dining-out food and services made the highest rise of 1.98%, followed by beverage and cigarettes (1.15% up) and 6 others.
3 groups showing decrease in CPI were post – telecommunications (0.16%), housing – building materials (0.41%) and traffic (3.96%). The sharp fall in CPI of traffic followed two decreases in petroleum price on January 19 and February 3.
