In 2015, the campaign “Vietnamese give priority to using Vietnamese goods” continued be followed by businesses and consumers in Khanh Hoa Province, according to the report of the provincial Department of Industry and Trade. Businesses had strategies to stimulate consumption of domestic products and adjust production with suitable quality, price and taste. Consumers trusted in Vietnamese products more and more. “In recent time, consumers have changed their shopping habits. They choose products having prestigious producers, good quality and appearance. High-quality Vietnamese products are favorite”, said Luong Quoc Thinh, marketing manager of Co.opmart Nha Trang.

The campaign “Vietnamese give priority to using Vietnamese goods” also was popularized to consumers. In 2015, the provincial Department of Industry and Trade host or jointly held 8 fairs and trade exhibitions in the province, including 4 in Nha Trang and 2 in Van Ninh District. The provincial Industry Encouragement and Trade Promotion Center organized 2 market days brought Vietnamese products to rural areas in Dien Phuoc Commune (in Dien Khanh District) and Cam Thanh Nam Commune (in Cam Ranh District). Some enterprises in the province positively responded the campaign by doing mobile sales on some occasions. The provincial Department of Finance often hosted interdisciplinary inspections to check prices and prevent smuggled, fake and bad products.

 

In 2015, the provincial Department of Finance consulted the provincial People’s Committee to support VND513 million for trade promotion. VND229 million of the sumsupported market days to bring Vietnamese products to rural areas and enterprises to join fair inside and outside the province. The provincial Consumer Protection Association coordinated with localities and companies to organize 8 conferences to propagandize more than 1,100 people about Law on Consumer Protection and the campaign “Vietnamese give priority to using Vietnamese goods”.

 

Other departments in the province also had their own activities to in response to the campaign. For example, the provincial stimulated domestic travel under the program “"Vietnamese people travel Viet Nam, each trip adds love to the native country". The provincial Department of Science and Technology supported 43 individuals, organizations and businesses to set up intellectual property right and trademark for their products, for example Ninh Da Coconut, Cam Lam Mango, Nha Trang Salangane Nest, etc.

 

According to Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, Vietnamese products are facing more and more competition when the country signs commercial agreements to lower taxes for imports. Therefore, in the coming time, the campaign “Vietnamese give priority to using Vietnamese goods” needs to be forwarded more with more flexible modes.
