Initially, Jetstar Pacific has two return flights a week on Tuesday and Saturday. The flight from Cam Ranh International Airport departs at 19:25 while the flight from Hue takes off at 21:15. Flying time is one hour and 15 minutes. Air fare is from VND550,000/one way. This is the third route to Hue and the 31st flying route of Jetstar Pacific.
Le Hong Ha, general director of Jetstar Pacific, said, “We open the flying route Cam Ranh – Hue right on Festival Hue 2016 to serve the traveling demand. The new route is expected to contribute to tourism growth and economic trade in the Central region.”

Before there was no direct flight between Nha Trang and Hue. People who want to travel from Nha Trang to Hue only could go by car or train. Some people flied to Da Nang, and then took other vehicles to arrive Hue. It has restricted tour operation on this route. In the view of Tran Minh Duc - Deputy director of Long Phu Tourist Company, Hue and Nha Trang have different features of tourism, so they can complement each other. Hue majors in cultural tourism with cultural heritages of national and international stature while Nha Trang is famous for the sea tourism. “As traveling time between Nha Trang and Hue is shortened, we can operate tours take tourists, especially from Western Europe and North America, to discover the culture of the ancient capital Hue and have interesting experience of the coastal city Nha Trang”, Duc said. Accordingly, Long Phu Tourist Company has met partners in Hue about taking tourists between the two cities.
Beside this, with the flying route Cam Ranh – Hue, travel firms can operate interprovincial tours. For instance, travelers flying from Nha Trang to Hue can take tours to Hoi An and Da Nang, then fly back to Nha Trang, or travelers flying from Hue to Nha Trang can go to Da Lat, then fly back to Hue from Lien Khuong Airport.
Along with practical benefits for tourism, the direct flying route Cam Ranh – Hue is expected to create more opportunities for exchange and cooperation between the two provinces Khanh Hoa and Thua Thien Hue.
