Van Ninh District focuses on processing industry

Owing to exploiting potentials, industry in Van Ninh District, Khanh Hoa Province has made good growth, especially processing.

Industrial production value of Van Ninh District in the first five months of 2016 reached more than VND152 billion, rising by 7.4% year-on-year. Beside exploiting advantages, enterprises invested in modern machines and equipment for production.
 

According to statistics, average growth rate of processing industry in Van Ninh is 4.15%/year with main industries that are agricultural, forest and fishery product processing, mechanical repair, ship building, foodstuff processing, drink processing, etc. Enterprises have actively raised quality and expanded markets. The processing industry of the district strives for VND433 billion in value and 14%/year in growth rate in 2020.

Up to now, the whole Van Ninh District has 997 industrial enterprises, including 891 processors, creating jobs for more than 3,500 local laborers. Food and foodstuff processing have the strongest growth, mainly making breads, vermicelli, pancakes…; processing fish, squids and cashew nuts for export. 
 
Fried fish producer Thuan in Phu Cang 2 Nam Hamlet, Van Phu Commune, Van Ninh District sells out nearly 1 tons of fried fish to over 50 distributors in the Central provinces, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. This is a big processor, recognized about food safety and hygien. Owning to spending investment in machines and equipment for production and being facilitated by the local authority, the enterprise has grown up more and more, creating frequent jobs for tens of local laborers.
 
According to the leadership of Van Ninh District, a long-tern strategy is required for the district’s processing industry. Enterprises need renovate technologies, improve their products’ quality, raise competition and expand markets. Especially, the district give priority to processing of farm, forest and fishery products and granite processing which have advantages of competition, use local materials and create jobs for local laborers. Besides, processing enterprises have to ensure food safety, diversify products and lower prices.
