Being better off owning to policy credit

Hua Thi Minh’s family in A Xay Hamlet, Khanh Nam Commune, Khanh Vinh District is a case rising from such credit. In 2012, she borrowed VND30 million from the bank to grow fruit trees like banana, papaya, grapefruit, durian, jackfruit, etc. in a 2-hectare area on a hill. Up to now, her farm has grown well and given her good income.

Also by a loan by the Bank for Social Policies, Dam Van Vi in Hon Lay Hamlet, Khanh Hiep Commune has developed a herd of deers for young antlers.

In 2015, the Bank for Social Policies – Khanh Hoa Branch lent 40,000 households with more than VND600 billion in total, including more than VND250 billion for the two mountainous district Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh. This has helped the ethnic minority people change their farming way and apply technologies into planting and breeding to create higher values, improving their living.

Supporting poor people continuously

According to the leadership of Khanh Son District, owing to being lent in time, many households have set up models with good results like growing purple sugarcane, bananas and durians, digging ponds for raising fish, and storing water for dry seasons.

In 2016, the bank continues disbursing policy credit to right beneficiaries, improving credit quality to difficult localities with a large number of poor people and ethnic minority people. In addition, the bank is stepping up new credit limit of VND50 million/household and vocational training about planting and breeding for borrowers.
