International integration
Colonel Uong Xuan Phuc Son, director of Tan Cang – Petro Cam Ranh Limited Company, since starting operation on March 8, 2016 up to now, the port has received over 20 ships, including 2 luxury international ships and 16 military boats from Singapore, Japan, France, Russia, India, China, Australia, etc.

The port has partly opened international integration in sea port of the country, and exploited potentials and advantages of Cam Ranh Bay.
Passengers from international cruise ships calling at Cam Ranh Port can be also taken to Nha Trang to enjoy local tourist services, which contributes to marketing for Nha Trang as well as the development of the province. According to Colonel Uong Xuan Phuc Son, in the coming time, the port will add more preferential policies to attract more cargo vessels and cruise ships, and connect with tourist destinations in the province to have perfect tourist product chain to serve tourists.
In a recent visit to Cam Ranh International Port, Colonel Morishita Osamu, commander of a Japanese vessel, commented that Cam Ranh International Port is really an ideal destination for international ships. The port which has an advantageous location with deep water level enables large-sized vessels. Services at the port are good.
Modern sea port
Cam Ranh International Port is built to be one of leading deep-water ports in Vietnam, become a large area to supply maritime services and repair ships which can compare with big sea port in the world. The port also has quality management system with international standards to be regular, exemplary, safe and attractie to foreign countries and shipping lines.
After its second phase is finished, the port will become the biggest port of the country in the terms of the length of wharf with 110,000DWT in maximum ship capacity. The port can receive 18 ships at the same time and 185 ones each year. It’s also the first port in Vietnam enable to shelter ships in storms at the eighth level.

The port includes two groups of works: on water and on land. On-water works are wharf system jutting out into the sea for ships to draw along two sides. On-land work group comprises reception and execution area and logistics service area. The logistics service area is modern and big, including warehouse, internal traffic roads, cargo loading ground, and sports section which sports playing house, swimming pool, football ground, tennis court and basketball court.
After the second phase of the project is finished, the port is expected to become a modern and prestigious losgitics establishment which can compare to big sea port in the world. Building Cam Ranh International Port aims to develop the country in the situation of deep and wide internation integration and carry out open diplomacy with multulateral and diversified relationships, Former president Truong Tan Sang said at the opening ceremony of the port.
