Khanh Son District is focusing on processing industry to speed up its growth rate and create more jobs for laborers.

The whole Khanh Son District has 110 industrial producers, mainly in woodwork, mining, processing, etc. However, their scale is small. They lack machines for production.

According to the district Economic Department, industrial production value in the period of 2011 – 2015 increased by 10%/year (target is 13%). In 2016, industrial production value also reached 97.6% of the target.

Strength of Khanh Son District is agriculture and forestry. Each year, the district launches to the market thousands of tons of products like coffee, corn, durian, acacia, banana, etc. However, due to difficulties in preservation conditions and lack in local processing places, loss after harvest is rather big. Therefore, in order to impulse local industry, the district has laid down as a policy the development of processing industries and tried to do it.
