Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee and the provincial Department of Industry and Trade have directed closely checking trading for tourists. The Market Surveillance Agency has also directed the Market Surveillance Team to related units of Khanh Hoa Police to inspect businesses. Consequently, violations have gone down.

 

According to the report of the provincial Market Surveillance Agency, in the first 5 months of 2017, the agency inspected 37 businesses and discovered 27 violations. The agency fined VND250 million and seized some goods.

Nha Trang now has 60 businesses trading products for tourists like woodworks, handicrafts, jewelries, pearls, functional foods, cosmetics, etc.

 

To keep healthy market and ensure interests for consumers, especially tourists, the provincial Market Surveillance Agency has directed teams to carry out the plan to inspect and control to stabilize market during the Sea Festival 2017. Accordingly, from May 20 to June 20, the teams check prices, sale according to posted prices, food safety, etc., focusing on Nha Trang City, Dien Khanh District and Ninh Hoa Town. 

 

In the first days the inspection was carried out, the market surveillance team checked some businesses in Pham Van Dong. Most of the businesses obey regulations. No violations have been found.

 

Especially, the market surveillance team has mobilized businesses to sign commitment to implement laws. This aims to raise awareness of businesses in execute laws. Up to now, 50 businesses sign the commitment. A business owner named Nguyen Tuong Bao Ngoc, “After the market surveillance team guided me regulations, I’ve signed the commitment to obey regulations on trading products for tourists.”
