The National Asembly on November 11, 2016 adopted Resolution No. 28 on amending and supplementing a number of articles of Resolution No. 55/2010/QH12 on agricultural land use tax exemption and reduction.
According to Tran Dinh Tu, official of the provincial Department of Taxation, agricultural land use tax in the province was small amount of the total State revenue. Therefore, the exemption for agricultural land use tax will not influence much on the province’s State revenue. Moreover, this policy will facilitate for farming producers as well as help the taxation agencies focus on other taxes more effectively.

Accordingly, about 62,356 hectares of agricultural land will be exempted use taxes as from 2017, then more than 132,950 households will not have to pay about VND71 billion in total.
