Credit keeps growing

In the first six months of 2017, banking of Khanh Hoa Province kept stable growth and good credit.
 
Till end June, mobilized capital in the whole province hit VND64,456 billion, increasing by 7.55% over than the figure in the beginning of the year and by 14.8% year on year. Credit balance was VND58,527 billion, rising by 13.52% over than the figure in the beginning of the year and by 25.01% year-on-year. Deposits in most big banks were profuse, ensuring payment. According to statistics, deposits kept rising in the first half of the year, but the increase was not as high as that in previous years as much investment was poured real estate and stock.
 
According to Nguyen Hoai Chieu, director of the State Bank – Khanh Hoa Branch, during the first half of 2017, the bank branch timely directed and closely supervised credit institutions in the province in implementing policies and measures of the State Bank on currency, credit and banking. The bank branch also directed expanding credit associated with controlling credit quality effectively, especially to production and prioritized fields. Banking served the local socioeconomic development well. Lending interest rates were kept stable and supplied enough capital for production and business.

Lending of banks in Khanh Hoa Province in the first half of 2017 hit VND57,215 billion, a 23.45% rise year-on-year. Credit was lent reasonably, focusing on production, business and priorities. Bad debt rate was only 0.79%.

Besides, Khanh Hoa’s banking stepped up the cooperation between banks and businesses and the market stabilization program. Then, many businesses were lent with preferential interest rates (maximum 7%/year for short-term loans, maximum 10%/year for medium and long term loans) under the State Bank policy to solve difficulties for businesses. In the past six months, credit institutions committed to give loans of VND5,664 billion in total with preferential interest rates to 229 businesses and 1 individual. Preferential loans for businesses were VND6,074 billion. Credit balance was VND5,381 billion.
 
In the second half of the year, the State Bank – Khanh Hoa Branch continues directing banks to implement policies on currency, credit and banking to solve difficulties for production and business and support market; and intensifies supervising and inspecting the implementation.
