Cam Duc continues improving quality of an urban area

Cam Duc Town has been recognized as the fifth grade urban area by Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee. To keep rising, the town is making effort to raise norms.

 

Cam Duc Town has achieved good results in upgrading infrastructure and public works. Under urban development program of the province in the period of 2016 – 2020, many streets in Cam Duc have been invested, namely Dinh Tien Hoang, Pham Van Dong, Ham Nghi, Ba Huyen Thanh Quan, Tran Te Xuong, Nguyen Khuyen, Ly Thai To, etc. Truong Vinh Ky Street, invested VND5.6 billion by the district’s State budget, has been put into use. Besides, the district has invested VND to upgrade 5 other streets in the town. Cam Duc Town People’s Committee has also built some streets and some areas for cultural file, grown green trees, etc.

 

 

Economic structure of Cam Duc Town has been growing in the tendency of decreasing agriculture rate and increasing industry, trade and service. In 2016, total value of trade – service, industry and agriculture in the town was VND243 billion, rising by 5% over that in 2015. Particularly in the first half of this year, the figure was VND7.5 billion. State revenue in 2016 was over VND7.5 billion, the figure in the first half of 2017 was over VND3.7 billion. Health network in the town is rather good. Education and training have been given investment. Spiritual and material life of local people have been improved gradually.

With the above efforsts, Cam Duc got 81.5/100, qualified for a fifth grade urban area.

To help Cam Duc Town to maintain growth rate, in the coming time, its projects of urban infrastructure will be stepped up. Some main projects are water supply system, waste water collection and disposal system, lighting system, public traffic, road construction, new areas, etc. The town will also develop some handicrafts for tourism, build fruit processing factory, develop industrial group in the west…
