One month ago, sweet snails (150 ones/kg) were purchased at VND310,000/kg. 10 days later, price went down to VND250,000/kg. And now the price is only VND180,000/kg. Raisers said that if sweet snail price falls down to VND140,000, they will go to loss. This is the harvest time of sweet snails but output is not stable due to depending on export to China.
Van Ninh District has about 400 hectares of sweet snails, raised on coastal areas like Van Khanh, Van Long, Van Phuoc, Van Tho, Van Hung, etc.
