Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee has delivered Decision on approval of the action plan on green growth for the period of 2016 – 2020 and view to 2025. The plan aims to implement the national strategy on green growth with the focus on developing green economy, environmental protection and cultural – social issues.
According to the leadership of the provincial People’s Committee, the green growth from now to 2020 and view to 2025 need any solutions, especially greening production. Specifically, the province need uphold local industries as well as develop power industry, ship building and building material production reasonably and sustainably, basing on science and technology. In addition, the province need innovate technologies, apply clean production, step up local industries focusing on clean industries, supporting industries and deep processing industries.
In agriculture, the provincial People’s Committee expects forwarding clean industries and building trademarks for green products.

Econonic structure of farming is requested to be transferred in the orientation of good productions in combination with forming production areas, ecological agricultural development center, clean farming and hi-tech farming.
In the just-approved action plan on green growth, the provincial People’s Committee attached importance to progress to repair consequence of environmental pollution due to mining and rapid urban development as well as treat waste water and solid waste, especially in urban areas. Besides, safe fishing also have to be ensured.
Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Comiittee Le Duc Vinh said that, target of green growth is moving all polluted production enterprises out of urban residential areas to concentrated production areas. At present, the province has developed many industrial zones and groups with that aim. Trang E 1 Industrial Group in Cam Lam District is promptly finishing infrastructures in early 2018 to receive tobacco producing enterprises from Binh Tan, Nha Trang.

The Prime Minister has approved the National Action Plan on Green Growth since 2012. Accordingly, green growth is considered as an important content in the orientation of the socioeconomic development. Green growth is associated to economic restructure. Green growth is based on intensifying investment in preserving, developing and using effectively natural resource, reduce greenhouse emission, improve environment, etc.
To implement the action plan on green growth for the period 2016 – 2020 and view to 2025, Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee has entrusted the provincial Department of Planning and Investment to consult about checking, amending and supplementing law document related to the State management in response to climate change, put contents about climate change, green growth and natural resource management into plans and socioeconomic programs of the province…
Targets for 2020 are reducing greenhouse emission volume by 13.2%; 90% of the residents and 100% of the State staff aware of green growth and its impact; 90% production enterprises qualified for environmental standards; 100% of newly built enterprises applied with clean technologies or equipped with pollution limiting devices; 100% of urban areas having standard water disposal system; 95% of rural people supplied with hygienic water…
