Developing forest resource sustainably

Developing forest resource sustainably is a main content in the sustainable forestry development target program 2018 of Khanh Hoa Province just promulgated by the provincial People’s Committee.

 

In recent years, sustainable forest resource development in the province has changed positively. Violations have decreased gradually. To the nature conservation, raising wild animal has been controlled strictly; many wild animals have been released to the nature. In 2017, the whole province has grown 1,062.27 hectares of forest, taken care of 2,727.65 hectares…

 

To develop forest resource sustainably, the provincial People’s Committee has promulgated the sustainable forestry development target program 2018, which continues forest protection, management and development; prevention from forest resource depression; and projects to protect and develop forests and grow forests for production to increase forest cover rate of the province to more than 47.5% in 2020.

 

 

 

Besides, the province will carry out forestry socialization well to mobilize power from economic components, social organization and residents in developing forests, protecting ecological environment and biological diversity, and supplying forest environment services. The aim of the provincial People’s Committee is creating jobs, raising income for people in mountainous areas and reducing poverty sustainably…

 

To develop and increase productivity and quality of forests, in 2018, the province will grow 222 hectares of protection forests, special-use forests, 590,000 dispersal plants; nourish 50 hectares of forests…To raise effects of forest product processing and exploiting, the province will support wood processing factories, hi-tech forestry areas, supporting industries; invest more in infrastructures and services in forestry, aiming to cut cost of growing, exploiting, transporting and processing wood.
