Quality products from ostriches improved continuosly

For over 10 years of operation, Khatoco Ninh Hoa Ostrich Breeding Center (under Khanh Viet Corporation) has made stable forward. Raising and supplying high-quality and safe products from ostriches has created trademark for the center.

Establised in 2004, Khatoco Ninh Hoa Ostrich Breeding Center has attached importance to creation in labor and production by launching movements, especially Kaizen-5S which are initiatives, effective but not cost much, the staff find out when working.

In addition, the center frequently organizes competition movements for its department to do projects as well as creative models every year. Only in 2016, the center has three projects recognized by its corporation. The iniatives have contributed in cutting production cost and improving products’ quality.

Up to now, Khatoco Ninh Hoa Ostrich Breeding Center has kept pace with technologies of countries raising ostriches in the world. Scale and quality of its ostrich flock head in the Southeast Asia now. Its products are avaiable in most provinces and cities in the country. They are also exported to some countries like South Africa, Korea, China, etc. and highly appreciated.

Khatoco Ninh Hoa Ostrich Breeding Center has about 14,000 ostriches in total. Each year, the center supplies about 4,000 breeders, 700 tons of ostrich meat, 30,000 eggs and 10,000 pieces of skin for fashion products, getting an turnover of VND93 billion, creating jobs for 155 laborers with average income of VND12 million/person/month. In 2016, the center was granted title as a excellent labor collective by the provincial People’s Committee.

To become the suppliers of 80% in the country’s ostrich market like now, Khatoco Ninh Hoa Ostrich Breeding Center has considered food safety as a prerequisite factor. Since 2008, the center has built and operated the food safety quality management system according to the international standard ISO:22000-2005, and it has been certificated by the Spanish company SGS.

The standard has controlled biological safety and food safety in chain from breeding, slaughtering to selling. Then, food safety risks have been seen, analyzed and expelled, satisfying regulations as well as international routines.

Taking us to a 50-hectare ostrich farm in Dai Cat Hamlet, Ninh Phung Commune, Ninh Hoa Townshop, Ngo Van Tuong, Manager of Technique of the center, said that these breeding facilities meet national standards; water resource, foodstuff and waste water have been controlled strictly. The 100-hectare breeding facilities in Ninh Tay Commune are also modern and satisfying with standards on breeding and food safety.

According to director of the center Huynh Trung Son, in the coming time, the center will not only expand production and business scale, but also diversify products and obey food safety and biological safety standards to manufacture high-quality products. Up to now, the center’s products have been available in most supermarkets in the country.
