Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk) on November 28 launched Vietnam Sugar Joint Stock Company in Cam Lam District, Khanh Hoa Province.
Precursor of the company is Khanh Hoa Sugar Joint Stock Company. The trademark has changed as Vinamilk has bought 65% of the shares of Khanh Hoa Sugar Joint Stock Company to supply material for its production.
At the launching ceremony, Vinamilk gave 77,000 glasses of milk worth VND500 million to the Red Cross of Khanh Hoa Province as supplementary nutrition for children in areas suffering the storm Damrey. Vietnam Sugar Joint Stock Company donated VND500 million to the provincial Department of Education and Training in order to repair damaged schools. On this occasion, BIDV Khanh Hoa granted VND500 million to the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to give aid to the local storm-hit victims.
