Till December, 2017, total fishery yield of Khanh Hoa Province has reached nearly 109,000 tons, fulfilling 99% of the year’s target and increasing by 6.4% year-on-year. Of the sum, 94,800 tons is from fishing and 14,100 tons is from aquaculture. Storm Damrey caused servere damage on the province’s fishery, especially aquaculture in Van Ninh, Ninh Hoa and Nha Trang.
Under the fishery support policy according to Decree 67 by the Government, 24 boats have been launched and 5 boats are being built.
