Over time, Khanh Hoa Salangane Nests Company has made efforts and creation in research, production and trade. In 1990, when the provincial People’s Committee decided to establish the company to manage, exploit, and trade products from salangane nests, the company has 23 member units, 3 member joint stock companies; manage and protect 33 islands with 172 island cages from Van Ninh District and Cam Ranh City. The company has also held market shares in exploiting salangane nests from the biggest salangane nest islands in Vietnam and Asia. Over 27 years of construction and development, the company has a lot of significant achievement. In 2014, total turnover of the whole company hit VND3,903 billion, increasing by 170 times over the figure in 1991; profit before tax in 2014 was VND236 billion, rising by 655 times over the figure in 1991.
In recent years, revenue of Khanh Hoa Province made sharp growth year-by-year. The figures were VND4,646 billion in 2015 and VND5,280 billion in 2016. Till 2010, the company delivered VND186 billion to the State budget; the figure reached VND456 billion in 2016 and hit VND954 billion in November, 2017. The figure proves the company’s great contribution into the province’s economy and the position of leading companies in the province’s industry.
According to Nguyen Anh Hung – General manager of Khanh Hoa Salangane Nests Company, to reach that reason, the company has improved quality of business management and production with modern lines imported from Europe. The company also follows standards of ISO, HACCP, GMP and other international standards in export. In October, 2017, the company was honored with a World Class Award at the International Asia Pacific Quality Awards (GPEA) 2017. The company has done business well with more than 1,000 distributors, agents, showrooms in the country and abroad. The company also has stepped up export into markets like Australia, Canada, Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong, the US, Singapore and ASEAN countries. Customer service has also been attended to.
In spite of achieving good reasons over time, Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nests Company continues setting higher targets. In the plan of production, business and investment for the period of 2016 – 2020, the company will develop new salangane cages from Van Ninh to Cam Ranh according to the policy of the provincial People’s Committee.
Khanh Hoa Salangane Nests Company attached importance to improving productivity and machines in factories of products from salangane nests, building Song Cau Industrial Group (in Khanh Vinh District), factory processing salangane nest materials, product marketing center and restaurant, factory manufacturing pharmaceutical products and cosmetics from salangane nests, etc. The company will also set up beauty salons related to nutrition and salangane nests, and traditional village trade. Carrying out the business restructuring project for the period of 2016 – 2020, the company will equitize 8 member companies and develop products for dieters and children. Especially, the company continues building value of Khanh Hoa salangane nest trademark to become a national trademark and Khanh Hoa salangane nest to become a national product, developing scientific research in ASEAN countries. Besides, the company will continue improve system management in member units and companies to raise effects of production and business, keep its trademark in the country, build trademark in international markets and contribute to the development of local economy.
