Thanks to local and national projects in local industry encouragement, many handicraft businesses in Khanh Hoa Province are rising.
Viet Phap Co., Ltd. (in Dien Phu Commune, Dien Khanh District), a sports device producer, has potentials to create competitive product; however, the company couldn’t invest because of lack in capital. After being supported with VND300 million by the national industry encouragement program, the company bought machines to produce sports devices for children. Hoang Trong Tu, director of the company, revealed, “By the finance from the industry encouragement program, the company invested machines to manufacture 1,500 products a year, satisfying the rising demand and increasing the export turnover. It also has created jobs for 150 laborers and contributed into industrializing and modernizing agriculture and rural areas.”

Supported VND400 million from the national industry encouragement program, Dai Hung Wood Processing Company Limited (in Khanh Binh Commune, Khanh Vinh District) equipped machines to produce wood shavings. Since then, it has worked better. The company’s production is stable now and creating jobs for 50 workers right at its factory and more 300 frequent laborers growing acacia trees. According to Doan Hai Son, general director of the company, with the modern production line, the company ensures best quality and best productivity for the wood shavings. The company so far has produced and sold 36,000 tons of wood shavings. The company’s revenue is expected to hit VND50 billion.
In 2017, the Industry Encouragement and Trade Promotion Center of Khanh Hoa Province has give VND1.6 billion of aid to 10 rural industrial businesses, 3 of which are funded by the national industry encouragement program and the others by the local industry encouragement program. Director of the center Nguyen Sanh Duong, said, “To projects with large scale, we suggest the Ministry of Industry and Trade supporting by the national industry encouragement fund. The smaller projects are supported by the local industry encouragement fund. The industry encouragement fund has brought a lot of benefits for rural industry. It partly encourages businesses to invest more machines to expand production.”
