In 2017, Cam Ranh Port Joint Stock Company met a lot of challenges. White sand and salted sand export stopped made the amount of goods through Cam Ranh Port decrease. Besides, the rise in transport cost pull down the amount of goods from neighbor provinces to the port…
 
In that situation, the company did a lot of solutions such as stepping up marketing, expanding services, improving customer services, improving production process, etc. In 2017, the amount of goods going through Cam Ranh Port was 1,610,000 tons, total revenue hit VND115 billion. Income of the laborers was stable. The port’s safety was ensured.
 
In 2018, the company will keep their market share. The company also will focus on increasing revenue as well as benefit, to maintain the stability and sustainable development of the port. The company’s staff also strives to find comprehensive and effective ways in organization, management and operation to make more amount of goods going through the port.
 
Pham Huu Tan, general director of Cam Ranh Port Joint Stock Company, confirmed, “Production, revenue, profit and laborers’ income in 2018 have to increase over those in 2017. The amount of goods through the port is expected to be 1,800,000 tons; revenue is expected to be over VND125 billion. Big customers of the port with main products like wood shavings, sand, stone, cement, etc. will continue to be top targets to raise revenue for the company.”

Now, the company has started implementing the marketing plan for 2018. The marketing will also be intensified at the annual conference 2018 of Vietnam Seaports Association the company will host in Nha Trang. “To raise competition, in 2018, we will apply flexible prices, improve customer services to do procedures rapidly and effectively. The company will also open logistics, trading and warehouse for customers to put up revenue as well as profit. In addition, the company will attach importance to connection with big groups like Vietnam Electricity, Hoa Phat, Formosa, etc. to increase the amount of goods through the port”, Tan said.
