To keep the Tet market stable and prevent smuggling, unfair trade and fake products, Khanh Hoa Province Market Management is focusing on inspecting the market.
Nguyen Hoang Quy, deputy head of the Market Management No.1, said that in the rush time of Tet market inspection, his team has 4 groups that checked businesses frequently to find violations. The team check over 10 businesses a day.
According to the inspectors, most of the shops obey regulations on business registration, legal documents, etc. There are a lot of violations in pricing and labelling. Therefore, while checking, the inspectors also propaganize laws, mobilize sellers to sign commitments to raise their awareness.
In January, the Market Management have made 180 inspections and discovered 112 violations. 111 cases have been fined with VND487.2 million in total, some products have been seized. In February, the market will become busier as the demand for Tet products rises, changing the market and prices. Consequently, the market management force will intensify goods inspection, mainly banned products like firecracker, foreign cigarrettes, violent toys, etc. and consumer products like wine, beer, soft drinks, confectionery, food, foodstuff, fashion, meat, vegetable, etc.
Besides, the market management will also supervise units and businesses storing neccesary products to keep prices stable on Tet 2018, join inspections about food safety in production places, shops, markets and supermarkets…
